Paper processing and sorting at CRI facility

Every Grade Handled. Every Load Maximized.

Paper remains one of the most valuable recyclable commodities when handled correctly. CRI's paper recycling program is built on 40 years of direct relationships with domestic and international paper mills, allowing us to place every grade at the highest possible price.

For large-volume generators, our mill-direct shipping and single-truck method eliminates unnecessary handling and middlemen. We match equipment, spotted trailers, totes, gaylords, and balers, to your volume and grade mix, so your facility can focus on production while we focus on maximizing your recycling revenue.

Paper Recycling FAQ

Common questions about CRI's commercial paper recycling services.

What grades of paper does CRI recycle?+
CRI handles over 15 grades of paper including printing grades, coated book, office waste, ledger, pulp substitute, magazines, SBS board, newspaper, books, poly coated, wet strength, mixed paper, and more. We tailor our program to the specific grades your facility generates.
Does CRI provide equipment for paper recycling?+
It depends on volume and grades. CRI provides spotted trailers, totes, gaylords, and balers matched to your facility's needs, but equipment is not automatically free. For higher-volume, higher-grade programs, equipment is typically included as part of the recycling agreement. For smaller volumes or lower-grade streams, equipment may be available for rent or pass-through cost. We quote it transparently during your assessment.
What is mill-direct shipping and how does it benefit my business?+
Mill-direct shipping means your paper goes straight from your facility to the paper mill, cutting out middlemen and extra handling. This reduces transportation costs, shortens turnaround time, and ensures you receive the best market price for your material.
How does CRI handle large-volume paper generators?+
For large-volume generators, CRI uses a single-truck method that maximizes efficiency. We provide spotted trailers at your dock that you fill at your pace, then swap them out when full. This eliminates wait times and keeps your loading docks clear.
Does CRI pay for recyclable paper?+
Yes. CRI pays competitive market rates for recyclable paper. As both a processor and broker with 40 years of mill relationships, we consistently deliver top-of-market pricing. You receive prompt payment on every load.
