Scrap Metal Recycling Services

Ferrous and non-ferrous. Sorted earns the most, and we will take it as-is when that fits your operation better.

Industrial Metal, Recycled the Right Way

Manufacturing and industrial operations generate scrap metal as a natural byproduct: steel stampings, copper wire scraps, aluminum trimmings, spent motors. For many facilities, this metal accumulates in corners and bins, waiting for someone to deal with it.

CRI eliminates that headache by folding scrap metal into your total recycling program. For most volumes we drop a dedicated open-top container so metal stays clean and graded for top market value. For smaller volumes, metal can ride alongside your other materials in the same trailer.

Either way, sorting your scrap by type, copper, aluminum, brass, and steel each command different rates, maximizes what each load earns. CRI strongly encourages sorting and helps your team build a quick routine to do it. If your operation cannot accommodate sorting, we will still take it as-is, you will just earn less per pound. With 40 years of recycling experience and live market pricing, CRI turns your metal byproducts into real revenue.

Metal Recycling FAQ

Common questions about CRI's scrap metal recycling services.

Does CRI handle both ferrous and non-ferrous metals?+
Yes. CRI recycles both ferrous metals (steel, iron) and non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass). We handle the full range of scrap metal that manufacturing and industrial facilities generate as a byproduct of their operations.
Can CRI pick up scrap metal alongside other recyclables?+
Yes. For higher volumes, we typically drop a separate open-top container so metal stays clean and grades stay high. For lower volumes, metal can ride alongside your other recyclables in the same trailer. We design the program around what your facility actually generates.
Does CRI pay for scrap metal?+
Yes. CRI pays live market rates for all scrap metal grades. Pricing varies by metal type, grade, and current market conditions, sorted material always earns more than mixed. You receive prompt payment on every load.
What if we only generate small amounts of scrap metal?+
Small volumes get folded into your main pickup so metal does not pile up in your facility. Many of our clients generate metal as a minor byproduct alongside their primary recyclables. CRI collects it together, so even small quantities turn into revenue rather than landfill cost.
Do we need to sort our scrap metal before pickup?+
We strongly encourage sorting. Copper, aluminum, brass, and steel each command different market rates, and a sorted load earns substantially more than a mixed one. That said, CRI takes unsorted scrap if your operation cannot accommodate sorting, you will just earn less per pound. We will help your team build a simple sorting routine if it makes sense for your facility.
